Goose Bay Incineration Project

Tim started out on the Goose Bay project as an Incinerator Operator. He was responsible to construct, commission, operate, decommission, and demobilize an infrared belt furnace incinerator system that included secondary combustion, wet scrubbing system, material handling systems, and wastewater treatment system.

Working in an open shop environment, Tim was able to perform mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, and fabrication services during the construction and maintenance outage periods.  The project team was able to destroy PCB contaminated soils, metals, and other debris in the Goose Bay, Labrador area, which offered significant challenges due to extreme weather conditions during the winter months.

Tim was promoted after the Goose Bay Project to Superintendent, where he became the youngest Superintendent in the company at the time.
